Honesty and Integrity
Honesty is the quality of being fair and truthful. Integrity is the quality of being honest and having high and strong moral principles .
When in a work situation, it is important for employees to poses and display these traits. Honesty is the main trait that promotes integrity. People who are honest in the workplace have more open communication with their co-workers, and they viewed as more trustworthy by others. Another way to display integrity at work is by treating others the way you would want to be treated. This promotes a more positive environment and shows that the employees respect their co-workers. Additionally, if others are honest about a fellow employee's strengths and weaknesses it makes it much easier for that person to improve and grow at their job.
When a student is still in high school it is very easy for them to develop the traits of honesty and integrity. One way is by demonstrating these traits in their lives outside of school, such as telling the truth to a parent or choosing a make a good decision instead of making a tempting bad decision. Another way to practice honesty and integrity in school is to always do your own work and never copy someone else's and claim it as your own. Doing this as a young person is important because severe consequences can be implemented for plagiarism in school and at work. Finally, students can display integrity by following all of the school's rules and regulations at all times.
